The LG Versa VX9600 is a Verizon phone released in 2009 with a big touchscreen and a detachable fold‑out keyboard. It runs BREW on a 528MHz processor, has 310 MB of internal memory, and supports microSD cards up to 16 GB. The Versa offers handwriting recognition, gesture input, and an onscreen QWERTY keyboard in addition to a physical alphanumeric keypad. It includes a 2.0‑megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, a built‑in camcorder, a web browser, a built‑in MP3 player, and access to Verizon’s VCAST services and mobile email. It uses a 1100 mAh battery and can connect via EVDO/1XRTT, Bluetooth, Micro USB, and a 2.5 mm audio jack. The Versa’s standout feature is its unique fold‑out detachable keyboard, which originally came with the phone (later sold separately). The keyboard cradle includes send/end keys and a small LED display that shows information such as the current track, time, date, signal strength, CDMA type, network name, and caller ID when a call comes in.
