Nathan Tella
Nathan Adewale Temitayo Tella (born 5 July 1999) is an English-born Nigerian footballer who plays as a right winger or forward for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. He grew up in Stevenage, England, and is of Nigerian descent.
Tella began his youth career with Arsenal (2007–2017), had trials at Reading and Norwich, then joined Southampton in 2017. He made his Southampton senior debut in 2020, scored his first Premier League goal in May 2021, and signed new contracts in 2019 and 2022. He spent the 2022–23 season on loan at Burnley, where he scored two hat-tricks in February and March 2023.
In August 2023, he joined Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal for about £20 million. He debuted for Leverkusen in September 2023 and scored his first goal for the club in October 2023 in the Europa League.
Internationally, Tella was called up to the Nigeria national team in November 2023 and has since earned a couple of caps.
