Nanawa Station
Nanawa Station (Nanawa-eki) is a small train stop in Kuwana city, Mie Prefecture, Japan. It’s operated by Sangi Railway on the Hokusei Line, 6.9 km from Nishi-Kuwana, the line’s start point. The station has one island platform and a level crossing to the station building; it is unattended.
Opened on April 5, 1914, Nanawa Station started on the Hokusei Railway, which became Hokusei Electric Railway in 1934. The line joined the Kintetsu network in 1965, and Sangi Railway became independent from Kintetsu in 2003. A new station building was completed in 2005.
In fiscal year 2019, about 318 passengers boarded trains at Nanawa Station each day.
