Namon Washington
Namón Arthur Washington, nicknamed "Cy," was an American baseball outfielder in the Negro leagues. He was born on June 20, 1894 in Hallettsville, Texas, and died in May 1971 in New York City. He batted unknown and threw right-handed. Washington debuted in 1920 with the Indianapolis ABCs and played until 1930, ending his career with the Brooklyn Royal Giants. He played for several teams, including the Dallas Giants (1918–1919), Waco Black Navigators (1919), Indianapolis ABCs (1920–1924), Hilldale Club (1925–1927), Philadelphia Tigers (1928), Brooklyn Royal Giants (1928, 1930), and Lincoln Giants (1929). He spent most of his time with the Indianapolis ABCs and Hilldale Club.
