Mycolicibacter algericus
Mycolicibacter algericus is a type of bacteria in the Mycolicibacter genus. It was first found in the lung lesion of a goat. The bacterium does not produce pigment and grows slowly on standard mycobacterial culture medium ( Löwenstein–Jensen) at temperatures between 25 and 42°C. It has also been found in freshwater fish, fresh produce, sludge from water treatment plants, and in a natural cave. The species was previously known as Mycobacterium algericum.
