The Music Victoria Awards 2018 were the 13th annual ceremony, held on 21 November 2018 as part of Melbourne Music Week. The event took place at the Melbourne Recital Centre for the first time and was hosted by Lyndelle Wilkinson and Chris Gill. Baker Boy won the most awards, with four wins.

The Victorian Government supported the event with funding: $10,000 for Best Victorian Album and $5,000 for Best Victorian Breakthrough Act.

On 6 August 2018, several award categories were updated to better reflect Victoria’s music scene and recognize more contributors. Awards Executive Producer Patrick Donovan said the changes would make the awards more inclusive and highlight outstanding achievements.

Eligibility requirements included that at least 50% of the act must have lived in Victoria over the last two years. The eligible works (album, single, or EP) had to be released between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018. Some awards were decided by public voting, while others were chosen by a select industry panel.
