Manana Florence Tlake (born 17 June 1956) is a South African politician from the Free State who belongs to the African National Congress (ANC). She served in Parliament from 2006 to 2016, first in the National Assembly (2006–2014) and then in the National Council of Provinces (2014–2016). She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Before entering Parliament, she worked with the Free State Commission for Gender Equity, was director for strategy in Motheo Municipality, and chaired the Free State ANC Women’s League in the mid-1990s. She entered the National Assembly on 24 July 2006 to fill a vacancy, was elected in 2009 on the ANC Free State list, and served as the ANC whip in the Women’s Caucus and in the Portfolio Committee on Women, Youth, Children and People with Disability. After the 2014 election, she moved to the National Council of Provinces and led the Free State caucus. She resigned from Parliament on 11 April 2016.
