Muraenoidei
Muraenoidei is a suborder of eel-like fishes in the order Anguilliformes. They are mainly marine and have long, snake-like bodies. These eels live in tropical and temperate seas around the world.
The suborder includes several families of eels, such as morays (for example the Mediterranean moray, Muraena helena) and the darkfin pike eel (Muraenesox cinereus).
