Mozambique men's national basketball team
The Mozambique men's national basketball team represents Mozambique in international competitions. It is governed by the Mozambique Basketball Federation (Federação Moçambicana de Basquetebol, FMB). As of December 2, 2025, Mozambique is ranked 119th in the FIBA world rankings. The team joined FIBA in 1978 and competes in the FIBA Africa zone. The head coach is Milagre Macome.
Mozambique has not yet appeared in the Olympic Games or the FIBA Basketball World Cup. It has competed in AfroBasket (the FIBA Africa Championship) 14 times, with its best result a fifth-place finish in 1983. In the All-Africa Games, the team has appeared three times and won a silver medal in 2011.
The team continues to take part in AfroBasket qualifiers and regional events, aiming to improve its standing in Africa and on the world stage.
