Alessandro Amitrano
Alessandro Amitrano (born July 7, 1989, in Naples) is an Italian politician who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies. He started as a journalist and joined the Five Star Movement (M5S) in 2010. He ran for the Campania regional council in 2015 but was not elected. In 2018 he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies with M5S and served as secretary of the Chamber, becoming the youngest person to hold that post. He also served on committees for Public and Private Labor, as well as on the oversight of documentation activities and the elections council.
In June 2022, after Luigi Di Maio left M5S to form Together for the Future (IpF), Amitrano joined IpF. In the September 2022 elections he ran again with the IC-CD list (Civic Commitment-Democratic Centre) in Basilicata, Campania, and Molise, but did not win a seat due to IC-CD’s weak national result. He has been independent since 2022.
