Mount Alice (Falkland Islands)
Mount Alice is a mountain in the Falkland Islands, in the South Atlantic Ocean. It rises to 361 meters (1,180 feet) and sits at the south end of West Falkland, between the bays of Port Stephens and Port Albemarle, about 12.3 kilometers (7.6 miles) north of Cape Meredith. After the Falklands War, it became home to No. 751 Signals Unit RAF, a radar unit. Today the summit hosts Remote Radar Head Mount Alice, part of the British Forces South Atlantic Islands’ early-warning and airspace-control network, which also includes RRH Byron Heights on West Falkland and RRH Mount Kent on East Falkland.
