Deuteragenia sayi is a small spider wasp in the Pompilidae family. It has a black, slender body with long legs and clear, banded wings—the band closest to the body is thinner than the one near the wingtip. This wasp lives in woods and looks for nest sites in tree cavities. It nests in preexisting holes in trees. Its prey is many common spiders. D. sayi rarely visits flowers, but it has been seen on Queen Anne's lace (Daucus carota). Scientific name: Deuteragenia sayi (also known as Dipogon sayi), described by Banks in 1941.
