The Bafia languages are a small group of Bantu languages in the Niger-Congo family. They form a branch in Guthrie’s Zone A.50. The main subdivisions are Fa’ Kaalong, Bafia (Kpa), and Tibea (Ngayaba). Glottolog code: bafi1244.

Hijuk is sometimes listed as unclassified within A.50 by Guthrie, but Ethnologue notes that Hijuk is quite similar to Basaa.

According to Nurse & Philippson (2003), the Bafia languages form a valid linguistic group.
