Physics Today
Physics Today is the monthly magazine for members of the American Institute of Physics. It began in 1948 and is published in the United States from College Park, Maryland. The magazine is sent to members of ten physics societies (including the American Physical Society) and is also available to non-members as a paid subscription. It covers important physics developments with long overview articles by experts, shorter review pieces by staff, and discussions on science policy, education, and related topics. Physics Today also serves as a historical record of physics, featuring coverage of events such as the Star Wars missile defense program in the 1980s and the state of physics in China and the Soviet Union in the 1950s–70s. In 2017, its impact factor was 4.370.
