Min Hla Htut of Pyakaung
Min Hla Htut of Pyakaung was a Burmese princess and the chief queen of Viceroy Sithu Kyawhtin of Toungoo, who ruled from 1470 to 1481. She was the eldest daughter of Crown Prince Minye Kyawswa and Saw Min Hla, known in her youth as the Princess of Pyakaung. She married Sithu Kyawhtin, a member of Ava royalty, and they had three children: Min Sithu, Min Hla Nyet, and Min Htwe. In 1470, the family moved to Toungoo when Sithu Kyawhtin was appointed governor of Ava, a rebellious vassal state. Her elder brother Minye Kyawhtin of Toungoo had led a rebellion there from 1451 to 1459. She was the maternal grandmother of King Mingyi Nyo, who broke away from Ava in 1510, and the maternal great-grandmother of King Tabinshwehti, founder of the Toungoo Empire. She had Ava and Pagan royal ancestry from her father’s side. Min Hla Htut died in Toungoo in the 1480s.
