Joe Poetz (Joseph Frank Poetz), nicknamed "Bull Montana," was an American baseball pitcher. He was born June 22, 1900, in St. Louis, Missouri, and died February 7, 1942, in St. Louis at age 41. He batted and threw right-handed. Poetz played in Major League Baseball for the New York Giants. His MLB career lasted parts of two games in September 1926. He debuted on September 14, 1926, and appeared for the last time on September 22, 1926. In those two games, he pitched 8 innings and had an earned run average of 3.38.
