Mike Rother

Mike Rother, born in 1958 in Michigan, is an American researcher who helped popularize Value Stream Mapping and Toyota Kata. Toyota Kata includes Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata. He has worked with several institutions, including the Industrial Technology Institute in Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan College of Engineering, the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation in Stuttgart, and the Technical University Dortmund.
