Emory M. Thomas

Emory M. Thomas (born November 3, 1939, in Richmond, Virginia) is a history professor emeritus at the University of Georgia and a scholar of the American Civil War. He earned his Ph.D. from Rice University in 1966. A Booknotes interview about his book Robert E. Lee: A Biography aired on C-SPAN on September 10, 1995.
