Microbacterium azadirachtae
Microbacterium azadirachtae is a species of bacteria in the genus Microbacterium. It is Gram-positive, does not form spores, and is motile (able to move). This microbe was isolated from the surface of neem tree roots (the rhizoplane of Azadirachta indica) in the Botanical Garden of Coimbatore, India. Described in 2010 by Madhaiyan and colleagues, M. azadirachtae can help plants grow by producing phytohormones (plant hormones).
