Michele Herman Bredenkamp is a United States Army lieutenant general. Since January 2024, she has served as the director’s advisor for military affairs to the Director of National Intelligence. From 2021 to 2023, she was the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Earlier, she served as the director of intelligence for United States Forces Korea and as the deputy director of intelligence for the Combined Forces Command. In September 2025, she was nominated to become the ninth Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

Her commands include INSCOM, the 704th Military Intelligence Brigade, a Targeting Squadron in Joint Special Operations Command, and the 524th Military Intelligence Battalion. She has served in the Army since 1990. Her awards include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, and two Legions of Merit. She is married to Trevor J. Bredenkamp.
