Michael Foster (musician)
Michael Foster (born December 9, 1964) is an American drummer and founding member of the rock band FireHouse. He and guitarist Bill Leverty are the two original members still with the band. Born in Richmond, Virginia, Foster began playing drums as a child and also plays percussion, tambourine, and maracas. In 1984 he auditioned for White Heat, which included Leverty; they later met CJ Snare and Perry Richardson on tour. The four formed White Heat in 1988 and renamed themselves FireHouse before their first release with Epic Records in 1990. FireHouse has sold more than seven million albums worldwide and earned international hits. Foster filled in on drums for Warrant from December 2012 to February 2013 while Steven Sweet recovered from a neck injury. He married Lori Mingee on September 15, 1995, and they have three children.
