Methona themisto, the themisto amberwing, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Brazil and Panama, mainly in forests, and is relatively common. It has a wingspan of about 8–10 cm. The hindwings are very round, and the edges on the upperside of the hindwings and the tip of the forewings have small white-blue spots. The antennae are black with a yellow tip.
