Megastomia conoidea

Megastomia conoidea is a small sea snail in the family Pyramidellidae.

Shell: white, solid and polished, about 2.5–7 mm long. It has eight nearly flat whorls with fine growth lines. The shell’s edge is distinctly keeled or angled, with an impressed spiral line. The umbilicus is small and deep. The columellar tooth is strong and prominent, and the inside of the outer lip has ridges that end in small tubercles near the mouth.

Taxonomy and names: This species has been described under many names, including Odostomia conoidea and Odostomia sicula, with some scientists treating these as the same species.
