Green River (Afrikaans: Groenrivier) is a river in the Northern Cape of South Africa. It starts in the Kamiesberge mountains and has a catchment area of about 4,500 square kilometers. The river flows to the Atlantic Ocean, with its mouth near the Green River Mouth Lighthouse in Namaqua National Park, about 120 kilometers north-northwest of Strandfontein. The Green River Valley is known for diamond exploration.
