Meaghan Sargeant
Meaghan Sargeant (born 16 March 1994 in Sheffield, England) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. She started at Sheffield United’s Centre of Excellence and then joined Arsenal’s academy.
Her senior career began with Lincoln Ladies (later known as Notts County Ladies) in 2012–2013, then Birmingham City from 2014–2019. She moved to Bristol City from 2019–2021, and then joined Aston Villa from 2021–2023. In June 2023, she announced her retirement from playing at age 29 due to a recurring back injury and will remain at Aston Villa in a non-playing role.
Sargeant also represented England at youth levels, playing for England U17, U19, and U23 teams.
