Matvey Eliseev
Matvey Pavlovich Eliseev (Russian: Матвей Павлович Елисеев), born 31 March 1993 in Zelenograd, Russia, is a former Russian biathlete. He is 1.88 m tall and weighed 85 kg during his career. Eliseev made his Biathlon World Cup debut on 7 February 2015 and competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics. He won two bronze medals at the World Championships (both in the 4 × 7.5 km relay – 2019 in Östersund and 2021 in Pokljuka) and earned medals at European Championships and World Junior Championships. In the World Cup, he reached one individual podium and five podium finishes in total. Eliseev represented Russia and later the Russian Biathlon Union before retiring from the sport.
