Masuo Station (Mie)
Masuo Station (Masuo-eki) is a train station in Kuwana, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Address: 771 Yada, Kuwana. It is operated by Kintetsu Railway and lies on the Nagoya Line. The station is 24.8 kilometers from Kintetsu Nagoya Station. It has one island platform serving two tracks, plus a passing track for Yokkaichi without a platform.
History: The station opened on January 30, 1929 as Nishi-Kuwana Station on the Ise Railway. It was renamed Masuo Station in 1930. The Ise Railway later became part of the Sangu Express Electric Railway’s Ise Line, then the Nagoya Line. After several mergers, the line became part of Kintetsu in 1944.
Passenger use: About 2,628 passengers daily in fiscal year 2016.
