Wafaa Abed Al Razzaq (Arabic: وفاء عبد الرزاق) is an Iraqi poet and writer born in Basra in 1952. She now lives in London and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has taken part in poetry festivals and helped establish the project From the War Child’s Diary. The work was translated into French by Hédia Dridi, revised by Josyane De Jesus-Bergey and Mohamed Rafrafi, and published by L’Harmattan in Paris in December 2008 as Mémoires de l’enfant de la guerre – Ne volez pas ma voix. The book is a collection of poetry that speaks against war and calls for world peace. An 80-minute film based on the book is currently in production.
