The Client (TV series)
The Client is an American legal thriller drama TV series that aired on CBS for one season, from September 17, 1995 to April 16, 1996. It was developed by Judith Paige Mitchell and based on John Grisham’s novel The Client and the 1994 film adaptation. The show stars JoBeth Williams, John Heard, and Polly Holliday, taking over roles from the film originally played by Susan Sarandon, Tommy Lee Jones, and Micole Mercurio. The series ran 22 episodes, each about 60 minutes.
The Client was produced by Michael Filerman Productions, Judith Paige Mitchell, Mitchell Binder, Regency Enterprises, and Warner Bros. Television. Executive producers were Judith Paige Mitchell and Mitchell Binder. Cinematography was by Lowell Peterson, with editing by Robert L. Sinise and M. Edward Salier. The theme music was composed by Stephen Graziano and Dino A. Moriana.
Original network: CBS. It aired from September 17, 1995 to April 16, 1996. The TNT network later rebroadcast the series five nights a week from March 1999 to February 2001. The full series has not been released on DVD or Blu-ray, but the 1995 pilot was included as a bonus feature on the 2013 Blu-ray release of the 1994 film.
