Mark Waddington (magician)
Mark Waddington (born 4 June 1989 in Keighley, West Yorkshire) is a British comedy magician living in Skipton, North Yorkshire. He specialises in close-up magic and mainly performs at weddings and corporate events in the UK and across Europe. Mark began performing magic at age 12 and made his professional debut at The City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds. He has performed internationally and often works on the corporate entertainment circuit. He has shared the stage with familiar names, including supporting Paul Zenon on his stand-up show, and performing his own act with Jimmy Cricket, Johnnie Casson, Bobby Knutt, and Gorden Kaye. TV appearances include Channel 4, ITV and BBC, and he is a regular presence on radio such as Fresh Radio, BCB, BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio York, BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Radio 1. He also works as a magic consultant for TV, notably helping ITV's Emmerdale with a magic storyline. He won Starnow UK's first place in 2008, joined The Magic Circle in 2009, and in 2019 was promoted to Associate of the Inner Magic Circle (AIMC) with a silver star, a distinction held by fewer than 350 magicians. Mark has won the Best Entertainment award at the North of England Wedding Awards in 2014, 2016 and 2017.
