The International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) is an intergovernmental organization based in Laxenburg, near Vienna, Austria. It teaches government officials and other professionals about anti-corruption measures. Membership is open to UN member states and intergovernmental organizations, with no mandatory membership fee.

The idea for IACA started in 2005 through an Interpol working group and was publicly discussed in 2006. IACA was launched in 2010 by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Interpol, the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), Austria, and other partners to help implement the UN Convention against Corruption. It gained formal international organization status on March 8, 2011. By 2020, Kenya joined, bringing the group to about 80 members: 76 UN member states and 4 intergovernmental organizations. IACA is recognized by the Austrian government as a postgraduate education institution and participates in the Bologna process.

IACA began its Masters programs in February 2013. It now offers four Masters programs—three in English and one in Spanish—with an interdisciplinary, practical approach. The organization’s work has been described as holistic by external observers. By 2018, IACA had around 1,600 alumni.

Leadership and finances have seen changes over the years. The dean also serves as executive secretary. As of July 2024, Dr. Slagjana Taseva became the new dean and executive secretary, with a four-year term that could be extended. Previous leaders included Martin Kreutner (2011–2019) and Thomas Stelzer (2020). In late 2018, IACA faced financial concerns and began a restructuring process with government support from Austria.

Public attention has included criticisms related to events such as the 2014 conference in Baku during NGO crackdowns, and earlier tensions in 2012 involving Syria’s delegation over Israel’s status on IACA’s board.
