Marjorie Noël
Marjorie Noël was the stage name of Françoise Nivot, born December 25, 1945 in Paris. She was a French pop singer who became known in the mid-1960s.
In 1965, she represented Monaco at the Eurovision Song Contest in Naples with the song "Va dire à l'amour" (Go Tell Love). It finished ninth out of 18 entries. The single sold about 20,000 copies in France and 300,000 in Japan. She also took part in the 1965 La Rose d'Or festival in Antibes and released seven EPs.
Noël retired from show business in 1967 and lived away from the public eye. She died on April 30, 2000, in Cavaillon, France, at age 54, from a cerebral hemorrhage.
