Maria Ghezzi (23 February 1927 – 22 February 2021) was an Italian designer, illustrator, and painter. She was born in Bresso, Italy, and died in Milan. Ghezzi specialized in designing rebus puzzles for the Week, and she used the pseudonym La Brighella. She studied at the Brera Academy in Milan and later worked as a painter and interior decorator.
