Lepidotrichidae
Lepidotrichidae is a small family of primitive insects in the order Zygentoma (the silverfish group). It includes an extinct genus, Lepidotrix, known from Eocene-era European amber. A living genus, Tricholepidion, with the single species Tricholepidion gertschi from western North America, was once considered part of this family. However, recent research suggests Tricholepidion is not closely related to Lepidotrix and should be placed in its own family, Tricholepidiidae.
