Marco Pirroni, born Marco Francesco Andrea Pirroni on 27 April 1959 in Camden Town, London, is a British guitarist, songwriter and record producer. Often credited simply as Marco, he has worked with Adam Ant, Sinéad O’Connor, Siouxsie and the Banshees and many others from the late 1970s to today.

His first big stage appearance was with Siouxsie and the Banshees at the 100 Club Punk Festival in 1976, where Sid Vicious played drums. He helped form the Models, which recorded a Peel Session and released the single “Freeze/Man of the Year” in 1977.

He then joined Rema-Rema, a short‑lived London punk band. They released the Wheel in the Roses EP in 1980 on 4AD before the group dissolved when Pirroni joined Adam and the Ants.

With Adam and the Ants (in the second lineup), Pirroni was lead guitarist and co‑writer. They scored UK number one singles and several Top Ten hits. The albums Kings of the Wild Frontier (UK No. 1) and Prince Charming (UK No. 2) reached the Top 10. After the band split in 1982, he stayed with Adam Ant as co‑writer and studio guitarist, producing the hit “Goody Two Shoes” (UK No. 1) and the album Friend or Foe, along with more Top 20 hits. They won two Ivor Novello Awards for Stand and Deliver.

Pirroni later joined The Wolfmen with Chris Constantinou. They released an EP, several singles, and the debut album Modernity Killed Every Night. The Wolfmen released the album Married to the Eiffel Tower in 2011.

He lived in Marylebone for many years, then moved to north Derbyshire in 2013.

He has worked with many artists, including Adam Ant, Sinéad O’Connor, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Spear of Destiny, The Slits and The Wolfmen.
