Marcantonio Brandolini d'Adda
Marcantonio Brandolini d'Adda (born 18 July 1991 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France) is an Italian artist, designer and entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Art Director of Laguna B, a glass design company he leads after his mother, Marie Angliviel de la Beaumelle, founded it in 1994. He comes from a long Venetian aristocratic family: his father is Brandino Brandolini d'Adda, Count of Valmareno, and his mother is a French-Italian glass maker. He lives in Venice and is connected to historic families such as the Agnelli and Rothschilds.
In 2017 he held his first solo show at ALMA ZEVI in Venice, presenting a site-specific installation with brightly colored cotissi glass. The exhibition also traveled to New York in 2018, accompanied by the film Indefinito, which captures dancer Megumi Eda performing among his sculptures to music by Charles Derenne; the performance premiered at the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi in Venice. His work Indefinito n.1 is in the Giancarlo Ligabue Foundation collection. He has curated editions of the Venice Glass Week, founded the Autonoma Prize, and served on its jury (2020–2022). He co-founded Vital, a group to protect the Venetian Lagoon, and started Autonoma, an exchange program with the Pilchuck Glass School. He is in a relationship with Margherita Missoni.
