Nonsuch 324
The Nonsuch 324 is a Canadian sailboat designed by Mark Ellis and first built in 1994 by Hinterhoeller Yachts in St. Catharines, Ontario. It is the last model in the Nonsuch line and evolves from the Nonsuch 30 with a taller rig, more sail area, a carbon-fibre wishbone boom, and a shallow-draft wing keel. The fiberglass monohull uses a cat rig with an unstayed mast, a carbon fibre wishbone boom, a wheel-controlled, internally mounted spade rudder, and a fixed wing keel. It displaces 11,500 lb and carries 4,240 lb of ballast. Draft is 4.33 ft with the wing keel. The boat is powered by a 27 hp Yanmar diesel engine. Fuel capacity is 25 US gallons and fresh water capacity is 105 US gallons. The design has a PHRF around 174 and a hull speed of about 7.2 knots. Only a small number were built.
