Maniac (band)
Maniac is a Los Angeles-based band that blends power pop, punk rock, new wave, and garage rock. The group formed in 2012 with Andrew Zappin, Zache Davis, Ardavon Fatehi, and Richie Cardenas. Justin Maurer joined on guitar in 2013, and drummer James Carman replaced Richie in 2014.
They released a single in 2013 and their debut LP, Demimonde, in 2014, on La Ti Da Records (also linked to No Front Teeth Records). Demimonde combines melodic hooks with punk energy and has been praised as a strong mix of melodic punk and power pop. In 2015, Maniac released a video for Party City, the first single from Demimonde.
