Biotheology is a field that blends biology with theology to help understand God. It combines modern biology with traditional religious beliefs and ideas. Proponents draw on biblical passages such as the Church as the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12–17), the idea that God’s qualities can be seen in creation (Romans 1:20), and Jesus’ parables about nature. A central question is whether the Kingdom of God can be understood together with evolution. Other areas look at how order is formed and sustained in nature, how spirit and emergence relate, and whether concepts like sin can be connected to natural selection. Biotheology is an evolving field that explores how faith and science can fit together.
