2011–12 Portland Trail Blazers season

The Blazers’ 42nd NBA season was shortened to 66 games because of the 2011 lockout. They finished 28–38, placing 4th in the Northwest Division and 11th in the Western Conference, missing the playoffs.

It was a year of change. Head coach Nate McMillan was fired in March and replaced by interim coach Kaleb Canales. Starting guard Brandon Roy retired during the season, and the team parted ways with their 2007 first overall pick Greg Oden due to ongoing injuries.

During the lockout, many players signed with teams in other leagues under contract terms that could allow a return to the NBA when the lockout ended.
