Maltrata
Maltrata is a municipality in Veracruz, Mexico, located in the state's central region about 209 km from Xalapa, the capital. It covers 132.43 square kilometers and sits near 18.82° N, 97.28° W. Maltrata is bordered by La Perla to the north, Ixhuatlancillo and Nogales to the east, Acultzingo and Aquila to the south, and by Puebla state to the north and west. The climate is cool all year, with rain in summer and autumn. The main crops are maize (corn) and beans. On June 29 each year, the town holds a celebration in honor of Saint Peter the Apostle, its patron saint.
