1987 NAIA Division II football season
The 1987 NAIA Division II football season was the 18th season of NAIA Division II football and part of the 1987 college football season in the United States (the 32nd season of NAIA football overall). The regular season ran from August to November 1987, with the postseason in November and December. The national championship was held at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. Pacific Lutheran and Wisconsin–Stevens Point tied 16–16 and were declared co-national champions. This was Pacific Lutheran’s second NAIA national title and Wisconsin–Stevens Point’s first. Later, Wisconsin–Stevens Point forfeited their share of the title after it was found they had used two ineligible players during the season.
