Maloye Yarovoye
Maloye Yarovoye is a small salt lake in Slavgorod Municipality, Altai Krai, Russia. It sits on the Kulunda Plain, part of the West Siberian Plain, in the northwestern part of the region. The lake is roughly circular, about 7 km across, and covers around 35 square kilometers. The shoreline is steep, with slopes of about 3 to 5 meters. The water is saline and the bottom has sand and silt.
There are no fish in the lake. The only aquatic animal is the brine shrimp Artemia salina. Maloye Yarovoye is a protected area and is surrounded by steppe vegetation. The nearest settlements are Vladimirovka and Semyonovka on the northwest shore, and Slavgorod lies about 28 km to the west. Nearby lakes include Kulunda to the east and Bolshoye Yarovoye and Burlinskoye farther away.
