Mallery Lake

Mallery Lake, named Tahijuaq akutliq in Inuktitut, is a large lake in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut, Canada. It covers about 467 square kilometers (180 square miles) and sits about 158 meters (518 feet) above sea level. About 12 square kilometers of the lake are islands. The Kunwak River flows in from the southwest and drains the lake to the southeast. The lake is home to lake trout and lake whitefish, and caribou hunting around the lake happens in winter.
