Diocese of Juína
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Juína (Latin: Dioecesis Iuinensis) is in the city of Juína, Brazil. It is part of the Ecclesiastical Province of Cuiabá and depends on the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cuiabá. The diocese follows the Latin Rite and was established on December 23, 1997. Its cathedral is the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Juína.
The diocese covers 129,078 square kilometers. As of 2006, about 140,000 people lived there, and 126,593 of them were Catholics (about 90.4%).
Current leadership: Bishop Neri José Tondello and the Metropolitan Archbishop Mário Antônio da Silva.
