Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe (born 7 April 1958) is a Nigerian academic and Professor of Food Science and Extrusion Technology. He is the sixth substantive Vice-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, a position he has held since 1 March 2021.

Education and early career: He earned a Bachelor's (Honours) degree and a PhD in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MSc in Food Technology from the University of Ibadan. His PhD research included work at Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands, funded by World Bank/NUC. He began his teaching career at the University of Jos, Makurdi Campus (now University of Agriculture, Makurdi) in 1985 and became a Senior Lecturer in 1997. He joined Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike in 2000 and became a professor in 2003.

Role at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture: Iwe has held many leadership roles, including Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, Dean of Student Affairs, and Chairman of Examinations and Timetable Committee. He has served on the Governing Council and as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), among other positions.

Publications, memberships, and other work: He has authored more than 70 articles, books, and monographs. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) and a member of IFT (USA), IUFoST, Nigerian Soybean Association, and IPAN. He is an Internationally Certified Food Scientist (CFS) and an alumnus of the Haggai Institute with a leadership certificate in evangelism and Christian leadership. In 2020, he was elected National President of NIFST. He has served as a resource person on soybean utilization and UNICEF Household Food Security, and contributed to Vitamin A deficiency control programs in Benue State. He has also worked as a consultant, edited the Nigerian Food Journal (2007–2010), and served on various boards, including SHEDA (2013–2015).

Personal life: Iwe is a Christian and is married to Nkechinyere Nkem Iwe, a director at the Federal Ministry of Defence. They have four children.
