Flushing Hospital Medical Center
Flushing Hospital Medical Center is a nonprofit hospital in Flushing, New York, located at 4500 Parsons Boulevard. It has 293 beds and an emergency department. The hospital is one of the city’s oldest, founded in 1884, and is affiliated with MediSys Health Network. It also works with several medical schools for student training, including the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine.
History in brief:
- The hospital survived a bankruptcy in 1999 and later joined MediSys Health Network; previously it was affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital.
