MELCOR
MELCOR is a fully integrated computer program developed by Sandia National Laboratories for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. It simulates the progression of severe accidents in nuclear power plants, covering many phenomena in both boiling-water reactors and pressurized-water reactors. The code helps estimate the resulting radioactive releases (source terms) and studies how the results change with different conditions and uncertainties.
