Luis de Jesús Lima (c. 1945 – August 6, 2013) was a Guatemalan radio journalist for Radio Sultana de Oriente in Zacapa. He began his journalism career in February 1968 and spent more than 40 years in the field, working at three stations. He hosted a music show and a public affairs program called Somos Zacapas, where listeners could call in to discuss politics and other topics. He was a member of the Association of Guatemalan Journalists (APG) and won the El Tuno de Oro award in 2011.

Lima was killed outside the Radio Sultana de Oriente studio in Zacapa on August 6, 2013. He had just arrived for work and was shot as two men on motorcycles rode past; two bullets hit him (one in the head and one in the chest). He died at the scene, and his wallet remained on him. Police investigated several possible motives, including his political reporting and a possible earlier confrontation. He was 68 and was buried in Zacapa’s general cemetery.

Lima’s death drew attention to the dangers faced by Guatemalan journalists and prompted calls from international organizations for better protections for reporters.
