National Route 101 (Argentina)
National Route 101 is a national road in the northwest of Misiones Province, Argentina. It runs 145 km (about 90 miles) from Bernardo de Irigoyen to Iguazú National Park, near the Brazil border, passing through the General Manuel Belgrano and Iguazú departments.
For many years the road was hard to travel, especially after rains. Paving began from the south end, funded by the federal government and overseen by the Provincial Department of Transportation. In 2006 the section from Bernardo de Irigoyen to San Antonio was paved, and in mid-2007 the next 30 km to Piñalito Norte were paved. The stretch from Piñalito Norte to Provincial Route 19 was still under construction. The next 44 km up to Puerto Iguazú International Airport remained unpaved, while the segment from the airport to the junction with National Route 12 was paved.
